What is Kisspeptin-10?

Kisspeptin-10 (also called Kp-10 or metastin (10)) is a synthetic decapeptide fragment of the KISS1 gene product studied as a potent activator of the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal (HPG) axis. In experimental models it binds the GPR54/KISS1R receptor to stimulate GnRH release, with downstream effects on LH/FSH signalling, making it a useful tool for research into puberty onset, reproductive endocrinology, and pulse-frequency dynamics.
